Your Chipped or Cracked Windshield
Windshield chips and cracks are a common occurrence in Arizona, particularly due to the extreme heat, combined with the normal risks of getting hit by road debris.
Windshield Chip Repair Process
Windshield chip repair is a deceptively simple process. It's effective, convenient, safe and can be completed in less then 30 minutes. Faster and cheaper than a full windshield replacement, chip repairs are rapidly becoming one of the most common types of work done on vehicles of all shapes and sizes.
How Windshield Chip Repair Works
A chip in a windshield is almost always filled with a resin that looks and feels just like glass. We drill a small hole into the damaged glass and suction the air out to create a miniature vacuum on your car's windshield, the resin is then injected into the chip.
The vacuum is used to remove any air pockets caused when the rock or other debris hit the windshield and opened it up to the elements. The resin is allowed to set for a short period of time, giving it the opportunity to change from a liquid to a solid. A chip repair, when completed properly, will give the windshield back its maximum strength. In most circumstances, the original chip will not even be noticeable. We guarantee that after a chip has been filled, it will not crack out any further. If by chance it does crack out, we will put the amount paid for the chip repair towards the cost of a new windshield. If you have comprehensive insurance on your car, many major insurance companies will waive your deductible and pay for the full cost of the windshield repair, leaving no costs to you. |
